Gentle Yoga - For Beginners
Gentle Yoga is an ideal class for active seniors and students that prefer a class with a relaxed pace.  Gentle Yoga is a powerful antidote to being "stressed out," weakened or fatigued. What does it mean to be a certified Iyengar teacher?
The Iyengar system has an extensive and thorough training program based on years of practice and study. Teachers certified by IYNAUS (Iyengar Yoga National Association of the US) are educated and experienced in the methods of yoga as set forth by Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. They maintain a committment to daily practice, study regularly with senior Iyengar teachers, and have passed a rigorous assessment exam. Teachers granted certification must meet the following standards: a demonstrated practice of poses, demonstrated teaching skills, and a written exam on philosophy, anatomy, and practical knowledge of teaching. Our Iyengar classes are taught either by certified teachers or teachers active in the certification process.

Look for this certification mark!
